Our training fleet currently consists of twenty-two A36 Bonanzas and eleven B58 Barons maintained under an FAA accepted Phase Inspection program written by IASCO for our specific maintenance requirements.

We have a proven commitment to safety, 35 years of flight training experience, 500,000 plus injury-free training hours, and have been an FAA Diamond Award Winner since 1995.

What Does an AMT Do?
IASCO is an FAA Certificated Repair Station holding appropriate ratings including: airframe, engine, propeller, avionics, non-destructive testing and specialized services. Aircraft Maintenance Technicians work a rotating 10 hour day, four day work week, Monday through Friday, 7:00 am - 6:00 pm. This allows each technician an extra 52 days off per year in addition to our already generous paid holiday benefit.

What Can You Expect as an AMT?
Our typical work day begins with a morning meeting of all technicians to discuss the previous day's maintenance and the current day's activities, followed by preflight inspection of all training aircraft. Aircraft and job assignments are then passed out on an individual basis. As a technician you may be working on a Phase Inspection, installing an engine, troubleshooting an electrical problem, performing a landing gear component overhaul or any other task that is required to maintain the fleet in airworthy condition. All work is inspected first by the technician doing the work and then by a Delegated Inspector for the Repair Station. As with everything in aviation, the job isn't done until the paperwork is completed and readable.

Following successful integration into the shop and in-house training, newly hired technicians are sent for one week of Bonanza/Baron training at FlightSafety in Wichita, Kansas. Engine training takes place in Mobile, Alabama at the Teledyne Continental Motors factory and is also a one-week program. In-house and Web-based training takes place on an ongoing basis. All technicians are encouraged to obtain their Inspection Authorization. IASCO currently has eight technicians who hold an Inspection Authorization.

Advancement opportunities are performance based and require technical expertise, excellent written and verbal communication skills and computer literacy. Looking out over the next ten years there will be numerous opportunities for advancement including: Avionics Technician, NDT Technician, Delegated Inspector, Chief Inspector, and Aircraft Maintenance Manager. We are looking for motivated individuals who could fill these roles.
